A Voice Beyond the Static
A Love Letter Through Broken Signals

My love, tonight I send my voice
Across the restless air,
A message carried by the wires
That tremble with despair.
The radio beside my chair
Awakes with a fuzzy noise,
A thousand scattered fragments rise
And bury softer joys.
I turn the dial toward your name,
I search the fading tone,
Yet static fills the empty space
Where once your voice was known.
The current crackles through the room,
A storm of sparks and sound,
It steals the words I meant for you
Before they can be found.
I wonder if your hands reach out
Beyond that distant sea,
If you can hear the broken lines
That carry parts of me.
Each message leaves my waiting heart
And travels through the night,
Then falls apart among the waves
Before it reaches light.
The air is charged with unsent words,
The silence sings with strain,
A ghostly chorus interrupt
The promise I proclaim.
Still, through the interference, dear,
I send this love to you,
For even fractured signals hold
A trace of something true.
If someday all the static fades
And silence leaves the air,
You will discover all my love
Was always waiting there.
