Will you ever know me in a World of countless Souls

Will you ever know me, in a World of countless Souls?

Just another thing, rattling around in a Universe of things

An ecosystem of organisms, all reliant on each other

Crowded but alone, in a busy, hectic, frantic World

A Universe of Things

***

It doesn’t matter one way or the other

You are what you are, I am what I am

Another ant in the hill, another cog in the machine

A Cosmos; a Multiverse of components

Beings, and Not-beings

The Nots patiently sitting, biding their time … eroding

The Beings wrapped in a cocoon of their own making

Insulating their insecurities from the responsibility of relationships

Busy gossiping in ever-decreasing circles

Repeating themselves or others

***

Will you ever know me?

Will I ever know myself?

An ant or an atom, a component or a soul

Rattling around in an expanding Universe

A Universe of Things
