A Treasure Rare

a poem about love

True love, a treasure hard to find,

A precious gem, of purest kind.

It's rare, like a shooting star at night,

A beacon of hope, a guiding light.

It's not the love that fades with time,

Or withers with a change of mind.

It's not the love that seeks to please,

But one that's built on trust and ease.

True love is selfless and pure,

It endures, it will always endure.

It's the love that sees beyond flaws,

And accepts the person, with all their cause.

It's the love that makes the heart sing,

A symphony of joy, an angel's wing.

A love like this is hard to find,

But when it comes, it's worth the grind.

For true love is a treasure rare,

A love that will always be there.

It's the love that makes life worth living,

And fills our hearts with true forgiving.

So if you find it, hold it tight,

Treasure it, with all your might.

For true love is a rare and precious thing,

A love that will make your heart sing.
