A Thank-you Letter To My Personality

You can’t fool me, dear self.

Actually, you can and you do it sometimes.

But I’m aware of it

within a few seconds, minutes, hours, or days.

Oh you, foxy intrigue-specialist!

How the hell you convince me

about a fake authenticity

of this world’s illusory phenomena?

I swear that if I hadn’t understood

I have to tame you,

I would be jealous of your ingeniousness

and I would want to be you!

You have all those

fears, desires, expectations

in your tool-box,

and you use them all day long.

And what a great team you ‘re working with!

Five senses in constant meetings with you

about the marketing tricks

that could make me buy your crap!

But, how would I ever

have the opportunity

to perceive my real Self,

if I had never been you?

You are not an enemy, after all.

You are my greatest chance to live in bliss.

You are the mean I can use

to “see” reality permanently.

So, the only thing I can do is to thank you.

And then, to push you

into the elevator of responsibility

and lift you to your upper counterpart.

— I’m leaving you now. I have to work.

This elevator has no electric motor.

It needs my willpower and my toil

to reach the stars —
