Nigeria, land of the rising sun,
Where rivers flow and merge as one.
From the Sahel's edge to the ocean's shore,
A nation rich in culture, lore.

The Northern Savannas
Beneath the vast, expansive skies,
The northern plains stretch far and wide.
Savannas, where the grasses sway,
To whispers of the desert’s way.

Kano, ancient city of trade,
With walls of earth so finely made.
The Durbar Festival, a grand parade,
Where horsemen’s skills and crafts displayed.

Borno's tales, of Kanem’s might,
Echo through the desert night.
The sands of time, they hold so dear,
The legacy of empires near.

The Central Highlands
In Jos Plateau, where the hills arise,
And rocks reach out to touch the skies.
Tin mines glint in the morning light,
A testament to human might.

Benue’s waters, life they bring,
To lands where Tiv and Idoma sing.
Yam festivals and markets bright,
Celebrate the harvest's plight.

The Eastern Heartlands
Igboland, where traditions thrive,
In bustling towns, where people strive.
The masquerades with masks so grand,
Reveal the spirits’ hidden hand.

Nsibidi scripts, on walls they write,
In symbols, stories of the night.
The Biafran struggle, hearts still hold,
A tale of courage, proud and bold.

The Western Kingdoms
Yorubaland, of kings and lore,
With stories that forever soar.
Ife, the cradle of our race,
Where terracotta heads we trace.

Ogun’s craftsmen, with hands so skilled,
Create wonders that the world has thrilled.
Lagos, city of dreams and might,
Where day and night blend into light.

The Southern Rivers
The Niger Delta, lush and green,
Where mangroves guard the waters’ sheen.
Oil's black gold beneath the earth,
A paradox of curse and worth.

Ijaw and Ogoni, voices strong,
In creeks and swamps, where they belong.
Their songs and dances, stories tell,
Of lands they cherish, guard so well.

A Tapestry of Peoples
Nigeria, mosaic of tribes,
Each with rhythms, beats, and vibes.
Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba lead,
But countless others fill the need.

Edo’s bronze, a master’s craft,
In Benin’s halls, the spirits’ draft.
Fulani’s cattle, roam the land,
Nomadic life, so free and grand.

Tiv and Nupe, with cultures bright,
Bring their colors to the night.
Ibibio’s lore and Efik’s grace,
In Nigeria’s heart, they find their place.

Nature’s Bounty
From Zuma Rock, a giant's face,
To Olumo's heights, a sacred space.
Obudu's peaks, where cool winds blow,
And Yankari's game, in rivers flow.

The forests dense, where chimps do play,
Cross River's greens, where life holds sway.
The Ogbunike caves, a hidden gem,
In Anambra’s heart, a precious stem.

Struggles and Triumphs
Colonial chains, we broke with pride,
In '60, gained our stride.
Independence, a dawn so bright,
Brought dreams and hopes into the light.

Civil wars and strife we've seen,
But unity remains our dream.
Democracy, a path we tread,
With hopes and fears, our spirits fed.

Music and Dance
From Fela’s beats, to Burna’s flair,
Afrobeats fill the air.
Highlife tunes and Fuji’s call,
Nigeria’s music, loved by all.

Dances vibrant, steps so light,
In moonlit nights and fires bright.
The Bata, Atilogwu’s grace,
In every tribe, a dance we trace.

A Future Bright
Nigeria, land of strength and cheer,
With hearts of gold, we persevere.
Our youth, the promise of our days,
In their hands, our future lays.

From bustling streets to quiet fields,
The spirit of Nigeria yields.
A nation proud, with history deep,
In unity, our dreams we keep.

Epilogue
Oh Nigeria, my motherland,
In every heart, you firmly stand.
With every sunrise, hope renews,
A land of many, yet one muse.

From north to south, and east to west,
In diversity, we find our best.
Nigeria, oh Nigeria dear,
In every heart, you hold us near.
