A SUMMER BEST FORGOTTEN
Somethings hurts too much to remember

A SUMMER BEST FORGOTTEN
It started that summer,
With sunshine and rain,
And ended with memories,
I buried in pain.
We walked by the river,
Your hand holding mine,
Believing that summer,
Would always be fine.
We kissed under moonlight,
We laughed without care,
I thought when I needed you,
You’d always be there.
But August grew colder,
Though sunshine remained,
Your words became distant,
Your promises changed.
You packed up your suitcase,
Without much goodbye,
And left me still asking,
The simplest word — why?
September came quietly,
The flowers turned brown,
And every old memory,
Kept dragging me down.
Years have now vanished,
Yet sometimes I hear,
A song from that summer,
And wish you were near.
