A Sonnet for my Bear
Of nostalgia in the desert

Somewhere around Santa Clarita
Bright and shining are my recollections;
of balmy breeze and sun-kissed fragrant you.
Driving forces broke through our inactions
an end to angst, a song of love anew.
This love that paints a barren desert, bright
in brilliant blooms and dazzling summer rain.
Lost on paths and winding byways, alight
with joy we basked; a whispered love’s refrain.
Duet a song, that’s sung by two with love.
An echoed hymn that marches distance far,
alas it sinks, and flitters up above;
to rain back down unto this earthly star.
To love, to live and bask in love’s full grace
I humbly ask for lover’s sweet embrace.
