A small piece of us

in the whirlwind of exacting time,
We found a small piece of us gently moving toward the light
I found you, a truly lovely soul
That only just came into a good sort of healing
The place we used to visit
Our secret place.
Your tenderness enclosed the suture of a deeply stagnating ravine
So closed off from oxygen and movement,
Now that is a free-flowing space of cathartic energy
Our love now has found that small space of us
And it is our own,
All our own
The past is no longer our weight
But our cloudy sky
Our secret place where you and I
Are finally one.
