Cleansing Away the Day

When the day's been long

And the trash laid on thick,

When you need to wash

Away the ick.

When soap and suds are the only way,

The hot shower is where you want to stay.

When you need to calm

Your racing mind,

There's so many thoughts

You'd like to leave behind.

Rinse them away, down the drain,

Let it out, don't bottle up the pain.

Let the worries wash away

At the end of a long, hard day.

Melt the problems off your back,

Steam your troubles, don't let them stack

Up too high, bringing you down,

It's the best way I know around.

Make it hot, or make it chilly,

To miss out, would be silly.

So soap in hand, grab a towel,

Don't leave yourself feeling foul.

You'll thank yourself down the road,

For cleansing from this heavy load.

So make it fast, or take your time,

Just take this as your welcome sign.

When the way you're going's too hard to sustain,

Hop on in, I won't complain.

Join me in the soothing suds,

We can both be bubble buds.

When I recharge in the shower,

I regain all my hard-won power.
