A lost hope

A Saving Grace

Saying a prayer, a saving grace
Opens up your heart to a whole new place
It’s a feeling, an emotion that gets evoked
Like a word or a line that you wish you’d wrote

See me now I’m sitting here in this place
That you left me in, a dungeon that’s caving in
Where you opened up this whole new world
It’s filled with sticks and it’s filled with stones

You took a portrait, a painting and you carved out walls
That made no sense, that had no light, it’s just a void
It blinding, it’s deafening, it’s straight up hell
But you saw me and you took it and you made a fit

You had dreams, you had wishes
But you had a foetus and you had a choice
Now I’m stuck in your nightmare
And I’m living this life and I have no choice.
