There is rumble in my head

creating static in my house

Distorting the color red

causing a wrinkle in my blouse

Stirring confusion in my eyes

turning a smile from a frown

It kinda took me by surprise

and nearly knocked me to the ground

There is a rumble neath my skin

a puppet dancing without strings

With no beginning and no end

the start of most peculiar things

An agitator no one sees

lurking there, behind the scenes

Like in my old washing machine

making sure the stains get clean

There is a rumble growing strong

moving in everything we see

a snapping turtle on my tongue

waiting for the moment it is free

Flowing happily, unhindered

lying underneath the surface

Carefully it's being filtered

until it fills the empty spaces

Yes, I can feel the rumble

tell me if you can feel it too

A dryer thumping and tumb, tumbling

until the shockwaves make it through
