A Reason to Fight
a plea for a light in the dark

Give me a reason to fight, a reason to carry on
I am struggling to see the point, exhausted
While I would not opt out of this life now I live truly
Nonetheless, I am near to giving up, I am ... done
Why should I try? Why should I continue?
I followed the rules, did the right thing, I waited ...
What has that brought me? Nothing...
A life of no real impact on this world, an unperson
Would anything be different if I never was born?
So I see no reason to continue the fight
No value or point in carrying on, trying
So please ... send me something ... anything
A sign, a purpose, an inspiration ... a reason
Please ... give me a reason to fight
