Chilling Cold

Crystalline cascades cover the countryside,

Chilling cold creeps in and we can't hide.

Crisp, clean, and calming it appears,

Creating a canvas of white, it's so clear.

Carefree children, they play and frolic,

Creating snowmen with smiles so symbolic.

Chattering teeth, they cheer and chuckle,

Cocoa and cookies, they happily cuddle.

Crows caw in the cold, their cries cut through,

Crisp leaves crunch as they clasp onto the few.

Cold and cozy, the night calls for cuddles,

Curled up on couches, covered in cuddly bubbles.

Chilling cold, it can be cruel and biting,

Cutting through clothes, and our skin, it's frightening.

But even so, the cold can be so charming,

Creating a calm, and a stillness that's disarming.
