poem

this poem is musical metaphor. what i mean is

it's about Philip Glass and Metamorphosis.

this poem has colours instead of eyes. what i mean is

it's about Maggie Nelson's obsession with blue.

-

is there really a man

whose eyes leak blue?

-

this poem listens to the colours of glass. what i mean is

it's about a solo piano. a series of blue notes.

a discord. a harmony. a flat five.

a darkness. a story.

-

i once heard a man

read Kafka over Glass

-

this poem is repetition insisting. what i mean is

it's about becoming the breath of sound.

this poem is the kindness of cruelty. what i mean is

it's about monstrous vermin on a precipice of glass.

-

this poem is stalactite filled lungs

transforming voices to ice.

this poem is the repetition of breath

shattering mosaic eyes.
