I’M SORRY AMERICA WILL NEVER ACCEPT YOU . . .

There’s been a tremendous amount of pain dwelling in the hearts of black people

It is unfair and it is insane to understand that it is truly a crime to be black in America

I’m sorry that they take your culture then treat you like vultures

I’m sorry that the government will forever be privileged

leaving me to say this ...

I’m so sorry that your skin makes others question your character

I’m sorry that you will never know what it means to be fully liberated

I’m sorry that everyday you wake up and there’s no promise if you’ll make it back home

I’m sorry that for the rest of your life society will label you off of your appearance

I’m sorry that police will kill you for no reason I’m sorry that there is

The inevitable will never end

Whether it be slavery or racism

You’ll always have a problem with melanin in your skin

I’m sorry, sadly they’ve made us think

there’s nothing we can do.
