A Phone Call Was All It Took To Make The Psycho Mine
Once I ran to him. Today I want to run away

A Phone Call Was All It Took To Make The Psycho Mine
The phone rang softly after ten,
A voice I hadn’t heard since then,
Low and smooth like winter rain,
Pulling old ghosts back again.
He laughed as though no time had passed,
Like broken years could never last,
Every word slid calm and slow,
Hiding storms I’d never know.
The room grew colder by the minute,
Something strange alive within it,
Yet curiosity held me near,
Closer to the edge of fear.
He spoke of nights we left behind,
Twisted memories intertwined,
Stories painted sharp and thin,
Like danger dressed beneath the skin.
Outside the streetlights flickered pale,
The distant wind began to wail,
Still I stayed there listening close,
Frozen by the voice I chose.
A single call became a chain,
Wrapped around my restless brain,
Every whisper drew me deep,
Stealing comfort, stealing sleep.
Friends all warned me stay away,
Darkness follows men that stray,
Still his chaos pulled me near,
Fed by fascination, fear.
By sunrise silence filled the line,
Yet somehow he had become mine,
One phone call changed the air I knew,
And left my world askew.
