A Pequeña Swallow
Photo by Oleg Ivanov on Unsplash

Been a while I snuggled the silence of my bed,

Been a while I tangoed with the trees to the noise of the naked wind,

By Jason Leung on Unsplash

Been a while I stargazed the swallow bird dashing with freedom,

Been a while I surrendered to the hug of its wings.

Been a while I appreciated the smell of my sweaty gym shirt,

Been a while I admired my messy curly dark beard.

Been a while I accepted being vulnerable,

Been a while I liked the idea of loving myself again.

Fin!

To that foreign swallow Chica..

And for all vulnerable souls soaring out there!

From the cracks of my soul.
