A Past Flame

A Poem

I wanted love so much I went into the past hoping to find the letters of love.

But I’m not even half satisfied,

The letters have all changed

Nothing is the same anymore.

Time heals and people change.

He’s changed even though

I wished the love would be the exactly same.

Of course not

Every day we learn and adapt,

With change.

So can I wish for the same 4 years later?

When he had to learn my name again.

The only thing that’s the same

Is my crave of wanting an arm,

Wrapped around my heart,

So tight

I could burst into flames.
