A Normal Marriage

A Poem About a Marriage

By Pink JokerPublished 7 years ago 1 min read

There was a man who didn’t text,

Or say “I love you too.”

He played football, always worked late,

And liked a pint or two.

He wanted sex at awkward times,

When Wifey needed sleep,

He snored and farted constantly,

And left a wet towel heap.

Poor Wifey was at her wit's end,

She would cry to mother,

About the man who never cared,

and who didn’t love her.

This beastly man, knew not a thing,

About poor Wifey’s pain,

Blinkered he went about his life,

Oblivious to disdain.

This husband had a one-track mind,

Focused on just his thing,

Providing for his family,

Earnings are what he brings.

Poor Wifey wants romance and words,

And gestures big and bold,

But Husband thinks that all’s okay,

Because he wasn’t told.

Remember guys to talk it out,

Discuss and state it clear,

But do remember though he cares,

Your husband will not hear.
