A NIGHT WALK WITH HIM
A love poem about choices by Olawoye Sarah.
Under the gaze of the dark starry sky,
Enclosed in the silence of the night,
Except the sonorous voice of the birds of the air,
The wind as it slaps our warm faces with its charm,
The sound of our feet as we make our way through the
withered fallen leaves,
And our echoed voices.
We slowly walk down the path
Where no human often tread.
Side by side, we take a long walk,
One by one, we take a footstep,
Arm in arm, we embrace our enchantments,
Together we sing to our anthem,
A song that reminds me that you're my brightest light
during my day and night.
A song that devours my fear of loneliness.
A song that casts out the shadows of uncertainty.
A walk with my muse is bliss to my soul.
