A Monkey took a Pee on me

Dirty little bleeder

A Monkey took a Pee on me

I sat under a coconut tree

bye the sea

when a monkey looked down on me.

Disgusting little bleeder

sat there

peeing on me.

It stank like a muddy lake

of croc shite.

I was

wet through.

I swore like a docker,

waved my flip-flop

then threw it high,

he just scratched his arse

and then shut one eye.

A local laughed

spat out his tea,

said, “You’re lucky,

mate—he’s fond of thee.”

I didn’t feel lucky,

not soaked in piss,

from a monkey in a tree.

that monkey face was full of bliss.

I stomped back to my hut

squelching in each shoe,

dripping with rage and monkey goo.

Sat on my bed

with a rum in hand,

cursing every beast in this damn land.

Next time I sit

by the coconut tree,

I’ll bring a bucket then aim back, you’ll see.
