A Longing For Home
Unforgettable Addresses
seems I’ve burned every bridge I’ve ever crossed
paying for the choices that are done
every other address, I’ve forgot (ten)
**
I’ve sent this letter to that old address
I lived there once, when I was really young
Seems I’ve burned every bridge I’ve ever crossed
**
ravaged like a ship that’s being tossed
lonely regret, rises, when I’m drunk
every other address, I’ve forgot (ten)
**
chances to go back now, have all been lost
I’m tiring of the races that I run
Seems I’ve burned every bridge I’ve ever crossed
**
I’d go back, but I can’t afford the cost
the ones who once lived there, now, dead and gone
every other address, I’ve forgot (ten)
**
bearing all my sins upon that cross
time is pointed, like a loaded gun
Seems I’ve burned every bridge I’ve ever crossed
every other address, I’ve forgot (ten)
