A Letter to My Past Self
Reflections on the Journey So Far
Dear younger me,
I hope this letter finds you well,
As I'm writing this from the future, I can tell,
That you're about to embark on a journey of a lifetime,
Full of ups and downs, twists and turns, and steep climbs.
I know you're excited, yet scared and unsure,
About what lies ahead, and what you'll endure,
But trust me when I say, it's all worth it,
Every joy and pain, every hit and bit.
You'll meet some incredible people, and make lifelong friends,
Who'll lift you up when you're down, and be with you till the end,
You'll learn new things, and discover your passions,
And grow into a person, with new aspirations.
But it won't always be sunshine and rainbows,
You'll face setbacks, failures, and crushing blows,
You'll doubt yourself, and question your worth,
And wonder if you'll ever find your place on this earth.
But remember, dear self, that it's all part of the game,
And that every fall will help you rise, and be better all the same,
Every scar will tell a story, and remind you of your strength,
And every fear will teach you, to go to greater lengths.
So, when the going gets tough, and you're about to give up,
Remember this letter, and don't let your dreams disrupt,
Remember that you're capable, and that you'll find a way,
To overcome the hurdles, and make a brighter day.
And when you finally reach where I am now,
Look back on this journey, and be proud,
Be proud of the person you've become,
And all that you've accomplished, and what's yet to come.
Thank you for listening, and reading my letter,
I hope it inspires you to be better,
I'll continue to pray, and cheer you on,
As you make your way, to the break of dawn.
Sincerely yours,
Your older, wiser, and prouder self
