A Poem for Music

Do you remember that feeling when you put on your headphones, press play, and the whole world disappears? I do.

Life is tough, it is. And I’ve decided to start a series of blog posts related to music, starting with a poem that expresses my feelings about the topic:

Either by creating or listening to music,Suppressed feelings, emotions, and desires,Are meant to change our weakness,Into power amplifiers. To connect each other to the ones who we admire,In spite of for ages,Been building cultural and linguistic barriers,Spreading words full of ideas in the middle of gunfire,Ain’t for us no rages,Just to be the target of those who are the buriers.Immortal instrument to immortalize a precious moment,Portal to the past for memory recall, to realize that we still own it.Music’s to our soul like oxygen to our lungs,Makes us belong somewhere and it’s always there, for us,In the good and the bad, when we happy or when we sad,Like a loyal friend we always love and never let us down, thus,Music is alive and it moves, it grows. With us.
Music makes us human,Every other truth is a lie.Don't get fooled. This is more than a movement,And a movement never die.

Magnificent melodies and deep lyrics getting into our ears and growing inside of us like the seed of an ancient tree in constant motion. With roots that extend through time and space connecting with people who have that same seed inside them.

Connections between our souls whispering from the inside saying, “Hey, you’re not alone.”

And, yes, you are not.
