A Letter to a Dear Friend

Dear Jane,

As I sit down to write this letter

I can't help but think of you

Of your gentle smile and your laughter

And how your spirit soars like a bird in the blue

For you are a wonder, a true delight

A shining star in this world of night

Your kindness and grace, they inspire

And make this world a little brighter

As a poet, I often find myself lost in words

Searching for ways to capture beauty in verse

But with you, Jane, I need not look far

For you are a masterpiece, a true work of art

So here's to you, dear friend, and all that you are

May your days be filled with light and love, near and far

And may this letter find you well, and bring a smile to your face
