A letter I Never Sent
Photo by Álvaro Serrano on Unsplash

Ink on paper, words unspoken,

A letter never sent, a heart broken.

Thoughts and feelings, sealed within,

Hidden desires, where to begin?

The paper listens, in silence it waits,

For the pen's confession, the ink's sealed fate.

But fear and doubt, they held me tight,

So the letter never left, into the night.

Each line a whisper, a secret shared,

Yet confined to the page, never declared.

The envelope remains unsealed, you see,

A letter never sent, a love set free.

Now it rests in a drawer, a silent plea,

A testament to what could never be.

A letter never sent, a story untold,

A love that withered, in the shadows, cold.
