Stare not into the sun, for it shall burn many eyes,

but show it no fear as you marvel at its wonder.

Stare not into the majestic skies,

missing the battles and plunder.

Stare not at fields with many a colored wildflower,

remembering they'll all burn under nature's power.

Stare not into the mouth of hell,

for his eyes look back through the wishing well.

Stare not into vaults filled with gold,

as those dollars are tales of many souls sold.

Stare not into aged eyes,

showing no fear in the knowledge everything dies.

Stare not anxiously at the ticking clock,

avoiding the trance of the tick and the tock.

Stare not into the sewage of man's insanity

and never lose touch with your own humanity.

Stare not into things smaller than needed until ready to

sacrifice for more than just what is dear to you.

Stare not onto that belonging to another,

remembering lessons taught by one's mother.

Stare not, afraid to question new things

and fear not the excitement of new beginnings.

Stare not into wonders of mystery and magic

without the open mind of a hopeless romantic.

Stare not into the wells of such blue,

and be fearful of what staring too long may do unto you.

Stare not into that mystery that is she,

for if you do here eyes will be all that you see.

Stare not at her beauty my friend,

or lose yourself in her wilds never to be found again.

For I stared into the eyes of the said stranger,

throwing caution to the wind and accepting the danger,

falling head of heels in love at first sight,

never to escape this place, not since that night.

Stare not, I forgot the guiding advice,

finding something new that was so nice.

Stare not, for if I'd fallen victim to my fright,

I would never have known the princess, nor love at first sight.

The love of a mortal so pure and so right,

a torturous nightmare for a child of light,

and one I would succumb to, for my love at first sight.

For I loved her so much I became a dweller of the night.
