A Lantern to Heaven For Her Child đź’”
Till she walks the path to Jesus

A Lantern to Heaven To Her Child
The night is quiet, the ground is cold,
a mother kneels with hands that hold.
A single lantern, small and bright,
her only link to love and light.
She lights the wick with trembling care,
its glow reflects her silent prayer.
She sets it down beside the stone,
and feels the weight of being alone.
The flame burns steady through the mist,
each flicker feels like one last kiss.
She whispers words she used to say,
to chase her child’s fear far away.
The stars lean close, the sky is wide,
she swears she feels them by her side.
The lantern hums, its warmth so near,
a fragile bridge to all that’s dear.
No drifting flame, no wish to send,
just light that guards where heartbeats end.
It marks the path her child has gone,
a beacon till her own is done.
For now her child’s in Jesus care,
till this mother makes her way there.
In peace they’ll rest, their souls set free,
together in heaven, forever to be.
She stays until the night turns pale,
until the dawn unveils its veil.
The lantern still, its purpose clear,
to shine for love that lingers here.
And when her weary soul takes flight,
she’ll follow that familiar light.
The path will glow, the way be shown,
her child will guide her safely home.
