A Joy Of Summer

The Sweetest Sensations

Something ever so humbling to taste,

like a sweet Georgia peach

Nectar so sweet not coming through haste,

sweet, juicy, and just slightly beyond reach

Juices tickling my skin,

washing down the side of my face,

Reminding not to eat a peach, like you're trying to win,

that sweet Georgia peach is worthy of a marathon, not a race

That sweet fresh scent as we walk through the trees,

filling our nostrils with such a happily found scent

Reaching for that peach as you stretch at the knees,

wondering where the day has went

Sounds of the soft southern winds fill your ears

and you can remember such a sight

That delicious nectar reminds you of better years

and feelings to hold onto with all your might

From the little peach fuzz as you bite through the skin

that explosive heavenly juice lands on your tongue

To describe those beautiful nectar-filled days, it's hard to begin

but they make you remember what it was like to be young

Peaches and cream become a heavenly delight,

as your eyes behold them before you

You carve into that peach with all your might,

feeling that sweet juiciness again all you want to do

Your eyes behold each peach has a different sight of beauty,

natures perfect creation at your fingertips

It all comes together in one moment to be,

as you put that sweet Georgia peach to your waiting lips

"I could eat a peach for hours."

Sensual & tasty, & a great movie to boot. Around here it's the Colorado peaches to which we are slaves. Once that first crate arrives, it seems nothing else matters, not even the weather to farmers, lol.

This was so well done! I loved how you compared a peach's nectar to sweet summer days. Also, I loved the quote at the end 😅

Makes me think of my step brother and his wife. We would always get peaches when we visited. I still have the peach cookbook his wife gave us. Juicy juicy juicy

  • Nicely pieced💖😉👍
