Her heart was so big, so full. It made it easy to be generous and loving.
She showed love in big ways. In words, in actions, in thoughtful gestures.
The deeper her love the more she gave of herself. She would do anything to make others happy.
The Grinch had a heart three sizes two small, hers was three sizes too big.
Even when it hurt her, she gave. It was the nature of her heart.
This made her a target for those with Grinch hearts.
No matter how many times people took advantage, abused her loving heart. She still couldn’t help but love like she’d never been hurt.
Sometimes though she wishes her heart would shrink the opposite of the grinch’s growth.
All she really wanted even just once was to feel like someone loved her, appreciated her, and put her first. All she needed was to be treated with the same love and respect she gave to others.
Sometimes having such a big heart means you are surrounded by others. But the truth is, she always felt alone. Because those around her took advantage of her heart.
More often than not she ached to feel truly loved.
