A God When Needed
Seen Only in Need, Forgotten in Peace

They call on me when nights turn cold,
When burdens weigh, when troubles unfold.
A fleeting prayer, a whispered plea,
But never just to think of me.
When skies are clear, when roads are wide,
I fade like echoes, cast aside.
Yet when the storm begins to rise,
They seek my hands, they meet my eyes.
I am their god in times of need,
A ghost when they no longer bleed.
But even gods can break, can bend,
When all they are is just pretend.
