A Foolish Flame

You left for good, and for a good reason

A Foolish Flame

The siren song, it beckoned me close,

Intoxicated with promise in twilight's cloak,

But destiny's dice took a fateful roll,

And left me yearning in the vast expanse of nothingness.

I chased your shadow, your seductive mirage,

A silhouette of desire against the moonlit sky.

But your eyes revealed no respite,

As you feasted on another's flame, leaving me awry.

You have turned me into a phantom,

A specter haunting the chambers of my own heart.

A fool who dared to dream beyond his means,

Now destined to wander, forever torn apart.

The mournful taste of tears upon my lips,

A bitter symphony playing within my soul,

As I watch you flourish in love's verdant scenes,

I remain a solitary figure, incomplete, yet whole.

A foolish flame, I burn in solitude,

A bittersweet interlude, my eternal attitude.
