A day on the life
Every day as a slice of life
Today a pigeon
Knocked at my window, early.
Autumn is coming.
A shower and an
Apple to start the morning.
Words, pens are waiting.
Mystery we call
What we do not know, love is
The greatest, I’m sure.
Sunshine is sparse now,
The tide is turning. Later
It will smile again.
Coffee about now,
Water so pure turning brown,
Delight to the taste.
Leeks are sticks so green
And white but remind us that.
The year flies by us.
Chocolate, a square,
A bite goes a long way, puts
Pleasure, to my day.
The light fades earlier
I am not used, so end up
Sitting in the dark.
About the Creator
Jeannine Kauffmann
Poetry writer in the early morning. Poetry as a wake up call. Then later I draw lines and colours. I have a page on Instagram my art other than words although it contains words too. Titles are important to finish a piece like a full stop.
