A lifeless body found in a tub,

a gruesome scene, a murder hub.

The spouse questioned by the police,

with an alibi to his release.

But clues were scattered all around,

a mess of food, a crime profound.

Empty milk cartons and fruit slices,

left behind by the killer's vices.

The younger cop looked on in shock,

the horror etched on every block.

Who could bring such pain and ill?

A cereal killer on the thrill.

Sergeant Miller analyzed the scene,

a puzzle with clues, yet so obscene.

A woman killed in her own home,

left to die, forever alone.

The aftermath of a heinous crime,

left loved ones grieving for a lifetime.

A murderer still out there at large,

leaving behind scars and a tarnished charge.
