A Circle has no Start or Ending

A search for meaning - from loss to hope, from sin to grace.

I hold a hope to start anew

we walk and talk each day the same

My direction I lost in crispy dew

we no longer play the same old game

.

You say all things do have a beginning

we measure up the time and day

You lost your precious life in sinning

we search the spirit of light in clay

.

The Master shows him to the starting point

we bow our backs and take the whip

he tries to find it - his circle’s endless joint

we are but slaves of Hades’ drip

.

She reaches out her hands so gentle

we see a glimpse of eternity’s grace

her aging smile never judgemental

we evolved from her motherly embrace

.

Round and round life’s carousel goes

we hold on to the hopes of love

a circle has no start or end that shows

but we see it lifting like a dove
