A Barry in the Mind

Timeline jumping

Fleeting heartbeats that skipped straight to you.

Meer moments trapped in time is what fate saw true.

Another lifetime in your eyes, another lifetime spent with you.

Another moment disappeared, a curveball time threw.

Though your embrace is gone, the ghost of your touch remains.

Even scattered and shattered through my brain,

Thoughts of what once was still reign.

I've loved you in another life, another lifetime of us.

I gave you the love you longed for, with insurmountable trust.

A love that was the cliche; easy, patient, kind.

A love unforgettable and forever entwined.

Time continues to unwind and my thoughts of you cease to subside.

Love like you comes once, hence the hardship in goodbye.
