Through her castle windows
She gazes at the stars
Tears threatening to spill over the edge of her lower lids
But once again she swallows it back
Annoyed that it still hurts, when she should be numb by now
Some people say it's a sign it's authentic
But if it's true she wonder
What lesson is supposed to come from
This slow beating burning pain in her heart.
Of unreturned sentiments
She tries to drown it out
To fixate it on a different human being
But it keeps Turing back to the same person.
Scared to fall asleep cause her dreams take
Her to the 7th level of heaven but waking into
Let's her crash down to earth at a speed that could kill but since it's only her soul and heart falling there's only slow bleeding cuts and bruises on the inside of her mind.
Somedays she wants to run for the hills
Leave it all behind her
Cause this burning pain that's always in her chest is to much but she knows that it won't help the flame will just burn more cause the fuel is also the cure.
