I see there was some connection with my Twitter artists article (see here), so I decided that since I have so many like-minded devourers of Art . . . I would continue the trend by introducing you to some amazing contributors to Photo Twitter! These photographers can do it all: twist your perception, edge the darkest line of fantasy, swim along the brightest stream of light, and bend reality. All that, just in one photo? It's more likely than you think.

Find your walls still a little bare even after buying out the stores of Art Twitter? Don't even think about trying to give your money to rehashed stock posters at Target or buying some neon sign at Urban Outfitters. Instead . . . pursue a higher aesthetic level with these amazing people, wielding amazing talent. These certainly aren't the only photography accounts I could recommend, and there's so many wonderful artists who deserve some love, so don't be afraid to explore the followers and liked pages of these folks down here! Tell me who you really enjoyed on this list, and give me a couple of suggestions as well. Now, please enjoy my list of five photographers whose work will blow your mind!

1. TyeDied

It's going to be very hard for me to create a list that I truly mean to be equal in standing when I'm trying so hard not to gush about this artist. Tye (@_tyedied) is . . . someone who bend reality in the smallest way that creates the deepest impact upon your psyche. I- I'm a simple, spooky bitch. The macabre, the dark, the horrific . . . they are my preference. So this Photographer's entire body of work is My Aesthetic. They have this particular set of photos of houses deep in wooded mountains that speak to my soul and- suffice to say I enjoy their work a lot. Nothing is bright without being sinister. Nothing is dark without providing the sharpest pangs of suspicion. It's the little things that catch your eye on the first look. It's the strange things that catch your eye on the second. And it's the darkest ones that keep your eyes forever. For more of this spellbinding work, check out their page and consider buying five or so prints here!

2. BEACASSO

Now what about all my praise for BEA (@BEACASSO) can be condensed into a mangable chunk of info for you, without being obnoxious? I suppose I can start with her range. BEACASSO is a primarily model shoot based photographer, which isn't official lingo at all but my way to explain portrait based artists versus those who focus primarily on . . . landscapes and objects. BEACASSO's shoots can either be brilliant riots of color or minimalist dreams that feature one outstanding moment of color. The pictures above would be the former, as you can see, and very lovely examples of it. I love how BEA always gives behind-the-scenes views and lets you in on some small, harmless little secrets she uses to make some of the most incredible shots. BEA is . . . someone who can make a party out of life; adding a generous dose of glamor to the carefully styled, and overall just being a fantastic photographer, and teacher (and aunt!). Check out her website where you can also snag some prints here!

3. 360

360 (@ItsThreeSixty), or Milton to a few, is one hell of a visionary. I think it's prudent to note that when you hit up 360's profile, the banner is a still from Pulp Fiction, when Uma Thurman is in a line of girls at the mirrors of the club's bathrooms and she's cleaning herself up . . . and it's kind of perfect foreshadowing for the incredible range of subjects and "palettes" in the ensuing portfolio. There is, in every photo, no matter how simplistic it seems, a touch of hallucinogenic effect. Something that always makes each photo's story seem a trifle . . . odd . . . just a smidge off. It entices you and pulls you towards the next photo, and the next, and the next. Hit, after hit, after hit, until that lacing of delirium threatens to become blooming, colorful hysteria. There's no one way to concisely explain the style of 360 beyond . . . . evolving? Ever changing? There's just one constant touch, that air- that edge that is purely the work of this Atlanta artist. So, if you'd like to check out some more work and maybe pick up a piece or two, check out his website for more information on job requests and print pricings, here!

4. Melissa¨̮

Melissa (@melopacare) loves taking photos of night. And I love when she does too. Her photos have a haunting quality, something that speaks of a loneliness as old as time itself, and yet . . . they are so lovely that the perfect word to describe her work is: saudade. Saudade means to yearn for something or have nostalgic feelings for something/someone you loved that won't return to you. Funny thing is, I never know what it is I'm missing when I look at these photos. Just that is is missed. What you cannot miss is the fine detail, the careful balance of these photos, and Melissa's love of fog. If you're a night owl who feels at home underneath dark skies then Melissa's portfolio is definitely one you should take a look at. If you want to grab some prints from her, check out her store where you can find all the night shots you desire, along with some other photos taken during any odd hour of the day here!

5. jen

One thing about Jen (@jencaywood)? She goes hard on those edits. Matter of fact, that's her "calling card" of sort. Jen delights in taking the photos she captures and experimenting to her heart's content with lighting, colors, and even adding effects to create surreal scenes. Her bio states that she creates her dreams, and certainly she obtains a dreamlike quality in her work- be it through soft filters like the one above, or inverting colors to outrageous degrees in her landscape photos. I love her nature photography of course, showcasing the beauty of Washington both in real life and in her technicolor dream world. I must say, though, that I adore her work like the ones above; solitary, empty scenes of houses and town corners, lit and cropped just right to give a strange vibe that I like very much. Check out her shop here!

Edit, 8/15/21: You may have heard of the new phenomenon in the photography industry of selling NFTs, or basically cryptocurrency blockchains that, once purchased, are then owned in totality by the purchaser . . . a sort of new way to create a art collection with digital art. Some concerns are noted with this new wave, most prominent its possible effects of the environment. If you've read up on NFTs and aren't in favor of them, then please note that nearly all of the artists on here do sell NFTs now, and go forth accordingly. Thank you.
