A Little Life On The 12th Floor
“Damn,” Keke muttered, stepping in the gooey paste. “There goes any anonymity.” She’d jumped the fire escape from her 12th floor apartment down one level to Matilda’s small studio, hoping she’d be able to sniff around without leaving a trace. Keke knew Matilda would be napping all afternoon, and that the window would be open just slightly enough for her to crawl through. Of course, Keke’s tail got the best of her, and before she knew it she’d thwacked over an open jar of peanut butter in the kitchen, leaving one little paw print in her wake.

Diary of a Rescued Ragdoll
August 25th 2019 I’m beginning to wonder if this is what my whole life will be like, inside this small room with just a blanket to lay on. Last week, I still had siblings. My mother was taken from the room the week before that, and then slowly, one by one, my siblings also went away, aside from Crumpet and Snowball who went together. Now it’s just me in this tiny room. Sometimes the smallest human visits me to play or snuggle, but they don’t stay long. My whole life I have wondered what is out there. Why can’t I go? This is boring and I have no one to play with. Guess I’ll take a nap.
