Weasel

Weasel everyone has heard of it, but few people have seen it, in the eyes of many people, this is a very evil creature and a lot of rural areas as a child. Some people say that this animal can not be killed, beaten will be bad luck, and some people say that this animal must be killed, or it will retaliate. Some places also call it the "yellow daisy", which is a sacred creature, that can bless the family with four seasons of peace and prosperity, in short, whether it is superstition or legend, this is a kind of animal full of mystery.

The weasel, which we often refer to as the weasel, is a small mammal with a body length of 20-40 cm and a weight of 200-1500 g. The male is larger than the female by about one-third. It mainly eats rodents and occasionally other small creatures, birds, and fish, and it is often rumored that weasels steal chickens in rural areas, mainly in plain villages and other places. The weasel has short limbs, a long and slender body, and a tail that accounts for half the length of its body, so it is a bit cute when it walks, and its appearance looks very cute.

But weasels do eat chickens. Weasels have a strong climbing ability and are nocturnal animals, especially in the evening when it is dark and at dawn when they are often hit. The high walls of general yards cannot stop it at all, and from time to time it burrows into the courtyard and preys on immature chickens. It likes to suck the blood of animals, and after biting a chicken, it first drains the blood and then hollows out the guts. Chickens are often drained of blood by weasels in rural homes and then thrown in place, and if they are smaller in size, they are also dragged away by it.

Not only can they climb the wall, but they can also swim, and sometimes they are found biting the dead fish in the river. The weasel usually acts alone and is good at making holes and drilling crevices, often hiding in burrows, or cracks in walls, without a fixed residence. It has a strong predatory ability and is a good rat catcher, catching about 10 rats in one night, and occasionally preying on wild animals such as rabbits. It is physically flexible and alert, not easy to be caught, chased by dogs and cats to the desperate will also be a ferocious counterattack.

The weasel has a deadly weapon, not to mention dogs, even humans are afraid of, and that is "poison gas". When the weasel encounters danger, in addition to the ferocious counterattack, will also emit dizzying poisonous gas. This smell is very smelly, and will make other animals instantly incapacitated, dogs will smell the pain and scream, this time they can take the opportunity to escape, but also means to save their life so that humans do not dare to attack them with their hands.

The reason why it will let off bad breath is because of its anal structure. In its anus near the growth of a pair of stink glands, when attacked, the stink glands will secrete a gas, and the smell is very unpleasant, if the enemy's face will cause strong discomfort, kill dogs more, serious may lead to coma. Weasels are also very annoying to humans, this smelly and cunning creature, often attack poultry, but there is no way to take it.

Do not look at this animal as not liked, but the threat to rats is very great, and cats, it also belongs to one of the natural enemies of rats but prey on rats far more than the number of domestic cats. Rats are a great threat to humans, often stealing food and destroying crops, but also digging holes in the fields. Every year, more than 30 million tons of food are destroyed by rats in food banks all over the world, and rats are also the spreaders of many diseases, making them harmful animals. However, a weasel can eat up to about 3,000 rats each year, making it one of the natural nemesis of rats.

In this respect, it is considered a beneficial animal to people, and the weasel itself has value in that its fur grows particularly dense in winter and sparser in summer. In winter, weasel fur can be processed into high-grade fur coats, which can effectively protect humans from the cold, and its tail is also very useful, called "wolf hair", which is the best material for making brushes. The tail can also be made into handicrafts and decorations on clothes, which is the reason why weasels are usually hunted and killed.

And weasel also has medicinal value. According to the "Compendium of Material Media", weasel meat can treat many diseases, such as heart and abdominal pain, scabies, sore ulcers, frequent urination, and other difficult diseases. However, it is better not to eat weasel privately because it is a wild animal that eats rats all the time and carries many viruses and fungi, etc. Moreover, weasel meat is very tasty and difficult to swallow. Not only that, generally the poultry at home is bitten to death by weasel, people will also throw it away and won't use it to eat, otherwise it will be more than worth it to be infected with diseases.

Nowadays, weasels are also listed as endangered animals and are protected animals in Tibet, China, because they can solve many wild rats, govern pastures, and maintain ecological balance. Without human interference, they can survive for 10-20 years, though they are rarely seen in rural areas nowadays. Weasel is also known as one of the five immortals' "yellow fairy", the legend is about very spiritual animals, but you know the folk "five immortals" refers to which ones?
