“Without enthusiasm, nothing great can be effected in art.”—Robert Schumann

Have you ever wondered why you’re always writing? Even when you are not typing, you find yourself writing a story in your head. Gathering the pieces, connecting the lines, and building it into what it’s going to become.

Many writers have made good money from the craft and are still making it. But money isn’t the main reason why they always write. It’s something else. It’s a fire that took them countless hours of hard work to build and sustain.

Writing is a process that every writer enjoys. But it took the successful ones hours of hard work to build the habit that has transformed them to become top-notch. To get to that level of becoming outstanding and prolific.

Enthusiasm is why you’ve written many pieces and why you’re going to write more. It is why you’d write despite challenges. Enthusiasm is why your ink will never dry and why you’d always have something to write about. Enthusiasm is why you’re going to create systems and plans that’d enable you to write away.

“Enthusiasm can help you find the new doors, but it takes passion to open them. If you have a strong purpose in life, you don’t have to be pushed. Your passion will drive you there.”—Roy T. Bennet, The Light in The Heart.

When you’re passionate about the craft, you find yourself writing even when you didn’t plan to write. You find yourself making plans and creating goals and targets that’d enable you to write and publish more. And the more you do this, the more you enjoy the process and find more interesting things to write about.

How to keep that flare of enthusiasm alive is to keep creating and to keep sharing. You become more enthusiastic about the craft by acting enthusiastic. Your writing mightn’t transform suddenly, but acting enthusiastic would help you to build the mental strength and the habit that’d gradually transform your creative work.

“Enthusiasm is the electricity of life. How do you get it? You act enthusiastic until you make it a habit.”—Gordon Parks

Enthusiasm for writing doesn’t happen all of a sudden. Rather it takes time to come to be. That’s why you’re always going to act enthusiastic. Live enthusiastically and watch how your approach to writing changes for good. It’s a fire that‘d take a long time to build. And the fire can take you to any level when it builds up. Before then, you need to keep the flame alive by writing consistently and sharing with your readers.

Staying away from the craft for a long time reduces the strength of the flame. It can also cause disinterest. Suddenly you begin to find it very difficult to write a paragraph. But when you stay close to the craft. When you consistently write and share, you’ll enjoy the flow. You’ll write with less or no difficulties at all.

Avoid things that’d make you lose momentum and invest your time in activities that’d cause you to feel more enthusiastic about writing. Like reading the right books, and posts. Listening and watching motivational speeches — and writing regularly.

You might find it easy to write today and find it difficult to write the next day. What works is to write all you can when it’s flowing and do something fun when you’re unable to write. You can go for a walk, watch movies, or swimming. Any activity you enjoy doing when you’re not writing helps keep the flame alive.

Thanks Keeping yourself busy with other fun activities also allows you to refill your creative well.
