Who walks who?

When you walk the dog who walks who? Do you power walk and the dog must be by your side the entire time? Or do you let the dog sniff every nook and cranny? If the walk is for the dog ultimately then shouldn't you allow them to enjoy it? But this is just a metaphor as I was really referring to your brain. Learn to walk it and not let it walk you. The mind can be a beautiful and blissful place once you learn to silence the noise. If you can do this one thing every day at least once you'll surely be on your way to success. Every time your mind starts to wander pause and take a deep breath while slowly closing your eyes. focus your mind on the long slow incoming breath and then on the longer than normal slow exhale. In that moment if at no other time in the day your mind was completely focused for at least that one breath. Imagine with me what one conscious breath can do for you, that peace is on the other side waiting. Before long that one breath will turn into so much more and true peace from within will prevail. Here you will find your real happiness for it will never be satisfied in any other way. When your done looking out, look in and this breath technique is the beginning to bliss. Find your true inner peace and be happy, as happiness in contagious and your smile could change someone's life. Be the change you want to see in the world for it all starts within you. Approach life mindfully from the heart and all good things will come. When you find that peace you will find the stresses of the world are no longer an issue. This is what one conscious breath can do for you.

On this journey you will discover so much about yourself, and this is part of the healing fun. Learning to let go of everything you hold dear as it is only fear of the unknown that keeps you where you are. There is nothing going to change yesterday, no matter how hard you THINK about it. Learn to accept the the choices that have been made both good and bad. Apologies to those that are needed, even if for now it's only in your thoughts. Learn to move forward with a smile and remember life is hard so don't make it harder. Everyone has problems and the question will always be how will you handle them? Keeping the emotions stored up inside is like an active volcano waiting to erupt. Learn to control the emotions so they never take hold of you. Letting your emotions get out of control is like drinking poison for it's slowly going to eat away at you and will eventually kill you. This may be the hardest task you ever begin, but I guarantee it will be your greatest accomplishment. Eternal bliss awaits all who can find peace within themselves. As cliché as this sounds it is as simple as this. Get out of your own way, and let yourself be great. What stops you from taking the first step towards greatness? Laziness or fear? Overcome these and increase your self confidence and you will soon be on your way. Again only you are in your own way, what will it take for you finally take that first step? What will it take for you to be great once again? We are given this precious gift called life, but we never learned how to live it properly. We need to slow down and get back to our roots and find our true happiness.
