As we know food and Agriculture are very important to us. According to the International Food index analysis report, 800 million people are sleeping without food in the world. Approximately 79 countries are suffering from food crises. The interesting thing is food is available in more quantity but peoples are hungry.

Why people are hungry in the world?

What difficulties are coming for food supply?

Many reasons have been for the food hungry issue.

  • People are wasting food daily - according to the report, we are wasting food daily in many ways – sometimes we cooked over, at parties, weddings, hotels, etc. where is wasting food.
  • Awareness issue – As we know food is important so we have to utilize food according to our requirement. It will be easy to save food.
  • Government policy issues - somewhere government policy is also not supportable, for example in Sri Lanka, Pakistan African countries, and some parts of china where policies are very unpredictable.
  • Price & Poor issues – price issues mean, in some countries, basic food rates are very high so all people can't buy, such as in Pakistan – the wheat flour price is approx. 160 per kg.
  • Supply issues – The whole world is developing very fast but still facing to supply food everywhere in a smooth way.

How we can solve food crises issue in the world?

The food crisis issue can solve but we need to take two initiatives on a high priority base like the Southern Gujarat chamber of commerce and the industry taking steps for the food and agriculture industry.

  • Government should involve directly in supply and track
  • Spread awareness about do not waste food

What is the status of agriculture in the world today?

Today agriculture market increasing every day because of technology and innovation. But also coming many problems in a developed country, for agriculture production they are using more chemical based Fertilizers.

We talk about India; India is the first country in the world who are doing agriculture in organic ways since ancient times. A good thing is now India also adopting technologies and innovations for farming.

Let’s talk about the Food and Agritech expo Which is Organizing an International expo at Surat for food and Agritech on date of February 25,26,27 by SGCCI.

Southern Gujarat chamber of commerce and industry is non- governmental trade Association and advocacy group. Established on 21st October 1940 by the late Late Shri Diwan Bahadur Bhupatrai Shastri.
