Tony Robbins is one of the most recognizable self-help coaches in the world. He grew up penniless and is now worth more than half a billion dollars.

He’s helped coach people such as Oprah and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Instead of following the route his parents wanted for him. He decided to do what he’s always wanted to do, which is help inspire people.

Tony Robbins’ mindset has allowed millions, including myself, to live better lives and achieve the things we’ve always wanted.

If you apply some of the advice Robbins gives to your own life, then you’ll be well on your way to your destination as well.

Make Your Dreams a Reality and Don’t Procrastinate

If you talk about it, it’s a dream, if you envision it, it’s possible, but if you schedule it, it’s real.

— Tony Robbins

So many people are all talk. We know at least one person who tells you all of their dreams but does nothing about it. Speaking things into existence is easy because talk is cheap.

If words aren’t backed up by action, then it’s just a waste of breath. Regret starts to seep in, and any self-doubt is illuminated.

My dream has always been to be a positive influence on people all over the world. Opportunities to do that came with YouTube and writing in my blog. Instead of wishing it happened, I made it happen.

I could taste the endless possibilities that came with writing, and I’m nearing my way to making it a full-time living — doing something I love so dearly.

Due to Tony Robbins’ quote, I schedule writing into my schedule daily. It’s all paid off, and it’s just the beginning.

Take action, and you’ll slowly be to see your hard work start to pay off and your dreams become a reality.

What You Do in Your Personal Time Matters

It’s what you practice in private that you will be rewarded for in public.

— Tony Robbins

When you clock out from work, what do you do?

Many people go home, eat, relax, and watch Netflix. There’s no harm in relaxing. We all need it to stay sane and keep pushing through every day.

But if you’re in a position where you want more out of life, you’re going to have to put in the extra work necessary to achieve your hopes and dreams.

In high school, I used to finish school, sports, and work, and not leave any time to pursue writing or my YouTube channel. It was only until I graduated that I started to take my life into my own hands.

Every action has a consequence.

Every inaction has a consequence.

All that matters is which consequences you’re going to be satisfied living with.

Stop Doing The Things That Don’t Work

If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.

— Tony Robbins

The basic definition of insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting a different result.

You can’t expect your life to change if you’re not doing anything out of the ordinary.

If you do ordinary things, then you’ll be an ordinary person.

If you do extraordinary things, then you’ll be an extraordinary person.

To change your life, you have to prioritize your goals and put them into your schedule.

If I didn’t prioritize writing into my daily routine, I would fall flat on my face and lose all momentum.

How could I get the fulfillment I seek without putting anything out there?

It’s not possible.

Let’s say your goal is to exercise and lose five pounds. You speak your goal into existence, but your diet doesn't change, and you put off going to the gym. You can’t do the same things and expect a different result.

Not putting action behind your words will lead to frustration and ultimately giving up.

Cherish your goals, hopes, and dreams. Do everything to protect them.

Takeaway

Tony Robbins is one of the top public speakers and self-help coaches in the world for a reason. He’s been at rock bottom and has implemented any useful strategy into his life.

Key Points:

  • Make your dreams a reality, and don’t procrastinate; otherwise, you’ll lose time and result in giving up.
  • What you do in your personal time matters, so try and be self-aware enough and disciplined in mapping your words to your actions.
  • Stop doing the things that don’t work and instead be a problem-solver who finds solutions and takes giant leaps forward.

If I can apply Tony Robbins’ main points and achieve my goals, then you can too.

It won’t be easy.

It’ll be hard as hell, but if your goal means a lot to you, then you’ll make time for it.
