"Everyone has a purpose in life and a unique talent to give to others. And when we blend this unique talent with service to others, we experience the ecstasy and exultation of own spirit, which is the ultimate goal of all goals." - Kallam Anji Reddy

It's a little crazy to try and understand how we need to look after ourselves first and foremost in life, and have that element of selfishness, whilst at the same token, needing to be helpful, supporting, encouraging, and uplifting towards others. How can we be selfish and selfless at the one time? Is it even possible? Let's firstly look at the selfish side to this matter. No matter what else is going on around us, we need to be prioritizing our health, our happiness, and the pursuit of our goals. Our decisions and actions should always be based around ensuring these three elements of our life are being nurtured, protected, and kept satisfied. It's about making sure we eat healthy, exercise daily, have at least a minimum of 7 hours sleep each night, and always be looking after our mental health. It's about living the life that we want, whilst creating the future we desire, rather than being dictated to in how we should live our life, so that we can find genuine happiness and satisfaction. It's about setting ourselves goals that we have an extreme internal emotional attachment to, that mean so much to us personally, that we wouldn't let anything prevent us from achieving them. That means prioritizing the actions that are working towards these goals, rather than following the advice of others, or being distracted by less important tasks and activities of everyday life, that so many people get caught out by. The reason why we should be selfish in these areas is because if we are not keeping healthy, we are not feeling positive minded, happy, and fulfilled, and we are not experiencing the satisfaction of accomplishing what we desire to accomplish in life, then how can we possibly be the best version of ourselves? How can we be beneficial, attractive, and inspiring towards others, if we aren't enjoying life, and being the best version of ourselves that we can be? We can be a much better father, mother, son, daughter, grandparent, friend, work colleague, cousin, and individual in general, if we are happy, satisfied, healthy, and successful in life, that's a fact! That's why we need to be selfish in these aspects of life.

So where does the selflessness part come into play? Each of those three aspects I mention of above, being our happiness, our health, and the accomplishment of our goals, can all be linked into serving and helping others. One of the surest ways to live a life of happiness and satisfaction is through generosity, and helping others. The feelings and emotions we experience from witnessing our acts of kindness and generosity, which can bring a smile to people's faces, it can inspire them, and it can even change their life, is incredible. To know that we have made a positive difference in the lives of others, even helped guide them towards achieving their own goals, and creating a life of their own desire, it's an unrivalled feeling. It makes us feel good about ourselves. It makes us feel proud. It makes us feel worthy. We can also encourage others to keep fit, perhaps by inviting them to the gym, or going for a run with them, or something along those lines. It keeps ourselves accountable to exercise, whilst it also helps to encourage others to keep fit in the process. When we look and feel good, others can often look at us with envy, as they also want to look that good, and it can often give them that inspiration they need to get active. As for our goals, well this is the one that people struggle with the most. How can achieving our goals be of any benefit to others? Simple, by devising a goal that delivers us immense satisfaction, success, and happiness, which in turn can enhance the lives of others, in some form or another. For example, you could be a business owner who has a passion for fitness. You could become a fitness trainer and start up your own fitness class, with the measurement of your success being to host say 5 x 1 hour classes of 20 people per day. Right there is a win for everyone. You are working your passion, you're aim is to be helping 100 people per day get active and fit, which naturally aids their health and wellbeing, and you're working to achieve your goal, which grants you success. The key is to be focusing on your passion, whilst being of service to others, not to be focusing on the potential financial gain. When you start to focus on money, you lose that focus on helping others, and providing them with quality service.

Today's quote highlights things beautifully. We each have immense talent and ability within us, and we often find this in something we have a passion for. When we are passionate about something, we want to always perform at our best and we enjoy the experience. Our talent and ability naturally comes to the fore. So often, it's this passion, this talent, and this ability that we can use to inspire others, to help others, and to benefit others. We can be creating happiness, satisfaction, and success for ourselves, whilst at the same time be enhancing the lives of others. That is the ultimate goal of all goals. Through our goals and passion can often lie our purpose in life. It's why, when considering our goals, are we considering the fact that we also should be giving something back to others? How are you serving others in life? Are you even serving others at all? If you are serving others, are you doing so with a genuine passion and desire, or are you doing so with the purpose of financial gain and greed? Each of us are on this earth with an obligation to be helping and serving others. Make sure you are including service as a part of your goals, so you too can experience true satisfaction, happiness, fulfillment, and success in life.
