5 side hustles for those who enjoy working independently.

By clever financePublished 2 years ago 3 min read

I heard the same old comments after job interviews: The hiring manager really liked you, but they thought you were too shy. Then one day I decided to stop looking for a job and start looking looking for side hustles and ways to make money online. But as an introvert, I knew I needed a side hustle or work from home job that would allow me a high degree of autonomy, specifically the ability to work independently .In short, I wanted a part-time job where I could work independently, like one of these jobs.

1. Remote Transcriber

Transcribing audio files from home is not a bad job for introverts. In fact, online transcription was my first side job nearly a decade ago.No other stakeholders to talk to. You just need to transcribe other people speaking in meetings, speeches, etc. And if you become an experienced writer, you can earn decent money.

For example, Rev can pay more than $1 per minute of audio, TranscribeMe (the company I worked for) can pay up to $22 per hour of audio) and Scribie can pay up to $25 pay per hour hour . .So the faster you can transcribe, the more money you can make.

2. Graphic Designer

Unfortunately, I'm not that artistically gifted. However, for those who are, being a graphic designer is another great side hustle for introverts. According to Indeed, the average graphic designer can make close to $20 an hour. And your interactions with clients will be minimal as you will be working independently most of the time.Graphic designers often work freelance on projects such as creating book covers, brochures, flyers, logos, product packaging designs and websites.

3. Online Researcher

Internet research was one of my early side jobs, which is also a good option for those who prefer to work alone. Although doing online research involves a little more than "Googling", I found the job to be quite enjoyable as I enjoy exploring new topics.>Sites like ExpertRating can pay its top experts, whose background information has been verified in a certain niche, up to $7,000 per month just to answer customer questions.

4. Book Reviewer

If you love being alone and reading a good book, then being a paid book reviewer could make you money online (and alone).According to OnlineBookClub , you can Earn up to $60 per book review.Plus, US Review of Books pays reviewers up to $75 per book review. These are just a few of the many paid book review sites out there.

5. Freelance writer

Finally, if you're an introvert who enjoys writing, you might enjoy my current (and favorite) part-time job: freelance writing. While the salary is While is average According to ZipRecruiter, a freelance writer costs around $33 an hour. Many experienced writers (like yours) can earn significantly more for hours.Popular freelance writing jobs include copywriting, content writing (which I do), and ghostwriting to name a few.

6. Self-Publishing

Do you enjoy writing for others but not so much for yourself?

Have you ever wanted to publish your own book? You can earn money by selling your ebooks on Amazon. You can make money passively by writing an ebook and listing it on websites like Payhip or Amazon.

What's the best part?

You don't have to worry about shipping, printing, or any other details. If you want to self-publish on Amazon, check out my article "How To Sell Short Stories For Money."

7. Online Course Tutor or Instructor

You might not think that teaching online courses is one of the best side hustles for working moms, but hear me out.

If you have valuable information, you can package it into a course, create a few videos, and sell it online.

That is an excellent way to generate additional and passive income. I recommend Thinkific and Teachable if you're unsure where to create and sell your online course.

Teaching online or tutoring is also a great side hustle for introverts for working moms and introverts who don't mind working one-on-one.
