I know that when 2020 started we were all excited about a new decade. I don't think any of us knew that the start of the decade would be like this. It all seemed ok then one day we woke up and the world was chaotic, when we entered any grocery store the shelfs were almost bare, we just couldn't believe it. Little did we know that was only the start, That in the days and months to come we would lose loved one's to this virus, and our lives as we new it would be over. This year has been hard on all of us, we all hope that this new normal will end soon. As we head back into lock down again we all wonder how long it will go on.

I have truly learned how to be thankful. I never thought the virus would affect me or my family. I was wrong first we lost our business. Then in June we lost our house. No fault of ours we had been there 2 years and right in the middle off the pandemic we get told you have to move we sold the house. This after losing our business just a few months before. we never thought it would happen. We tried to find a new home were we was but because of just coming out of lockdown their was nothing. The real estate agents had no listings and most were not even open. With only 2 days left before being on the street we put our things in storage and headed out in our truck and 19 foot camp trailer. Me my husband and Daughter. we had no idea were to go we just drove.

We ended up staying in a 19 foot camp trailer. For three months the 3 of us. That is when you can appreciate the little thing like having a shower. Most public showers was closed to the virus and when you found one that was opened you worried about using the shower and catching the virus. The other thing was being able to have your own space. It was very hard on my daughter she is in collage and had to try to find internet just to do her on line classes. we traveled to five states trying to find a home. Their was a shortage on housing because of the virus nobody wanted to rent property.

But I am so thankful this month we actually found a 3 bedroom house. We all got our own rooms. You don't know how thankful you are for the little things until their gone.

I am thankful for my family our experience has made us closer and to appreciate each other and the little things. Everyday we give thanks for each other our home and our lives.

This virus is fear and fear makes people scared. But I am just thankful that their is support and help during this time. I know that we are all in this together and as long as we keep strong and be thankful for the little things that this well soon be over.

Until this is over I well take one day at a time being thankful for the little things and never forget to say I love you . For in this time of uncertainty no one knows what tomorrow brings but if we take each day life it to the fullest and just be thankful for the people in our lives and the things around us. That is the most important thing we can do right know.
