The Reality of Delayed Divine Help in the Quran The Quran explicitly addresses the phenomenon of delayed divine help. Allah says: "Do you think that you will enter Paradise while such trials have not come to you as came to those who passed before you? They were afflicted with severe poverty and ailments and were shaken until even the Messenger and those who believed with him said: 'When will the help of Allah come?' (Surah Aal-e-Imran: 152) b. The Siege of Sha’b Abi Talib For three years, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his companions endured extreme hardship during their boycott in Sha’b Abi Talib.
