SUFFOCATING SILENCE
The suffocating silence hung heavy in the air as Emily stood before the crowd, her voice trembling with a mixture of fear and determination. She had always been a shy individual, preferring the safety of the shadows over the limelight that now consumed her. But this fight was different; it ignited a fire within her that knew no bounds. As a young activist, she had witnessed firsthand the numerous accounts of racial injustice that plagued her community. Her heart ached for the families ripped apart, the lives shattered under the weight of prejudice. Motivated by the pain she could no longer bear, Emily vowed to become a voice for the voiceless.Every day, she would take to the streets, rallying strangers and friends alike to join her in her fight against inequality. She painted colorful banners with powerful messages, handed out flyers on street corners, and passionately shared her own experiences with anyone who would listen. Her parents worried for her safety, afraid of the consequences she might face, but Emily couldn't be swayed. She knew the importance of her mission. One summer evening, the city erupted into chaos as news of another innocent life taken made its way through the grapevine. The community had grown weary of the empty promises and broken justice system. They wanted their voices to be heard, and they wanted change. Emily found herself at the epicenter of it all, leading the charge alongside other fearless activists. They marched through the streets with a newfound strength, chanting words that reverberated in the heart of the city. Each step brought them closer to their destination, where their united voice would demand justice and equality. The suffocating silence that had plagued them for far too long had finally been shattered, replaced by a resounding cry for change. The city shook with the sheer magnitude of the movement, and it was in that moment that Emily's voice found its place among the chorus of protesters. They stood in the face of adversity, their hearts pounding with anticipation as they prepared to confront those in power. It was here, at this pivotal moment, that their actions would speak louder than words. Emily's resolve burned within her, fueling her determination to make a difference. As she stared into the eyes of the authorities, she refused to let fear overpower her. She had seen too much, felt too deeply, to ever back down now. The room buzzed with tension as the silence enveloped them once again, but this time it held a different weight. It was the silence of anticipation, the silence of countless hearts beating in unison, demanding justice and reform. And then, in one monumental sweep, the silence shattered. The walls that had confined them for so long were broken down, replaced by the power of unity and the triumph of change. The air was electrified with emotion as the crowd erupted into cheers, their cries echoing through the very core of the city. Emily's heart soared with hope as the weight of the suffocating silence was finally lifted. Their fight was far from over, but they had tasted victory. They had proven that, together, they could overcome the darkest of times. From that day forward, Emily continued her activism, courageously speaking out against injustice wherever she found it. The suffocating silence had haunted her for far too long, but now she would never let it snuff out the voices of the oppressed. The world may have tried to muzzle them, but she knew that their collective power would always prevail, breaking through the barriers of silence to create a world where everyone was heard.

Are days longer nowadays? Or do they tend to be shorter? Is it hard for you to get up? Or is it hard for you to sleep? Or do you just tend to lay back in your safe place and never wake up? Trust me when I say that you are not alone. Things are not going the way it was supposed to and life has been harsh for you. I understand. It's ok to lay back for a while. It's ok to treat yourself as a kid who needs a hug. It's ok to not be reactive in front of others and have a panic attack while you are alone. The world in itself has not been kinder to you the least we could do is be kind to ourselves right? I am not saying this as a person who has achieved anything in my life to be honest take me as a mere passing stranger who gave you a note in a park to keep you going to keep you fighting. You might be seeing this because someone who cares for you is looking over you and wanted to pass these words. In today's world, people might be ruder and more unbearable, and sometimes you might think of giving up on yourself. When people say don't think about it too much or let it go it's hard for people like us who feel too much, who get attached too easily, and who can't let go. Letting go hurts because there are things to which you gave your all, your efforts, your time, your care, and still you are empty-handed with nothing to hold on but still you are holding on it hurts right? When people try to make you suppress your feelings it feels irritating right? Well if you ask me it's ok it's completely ok to feel this way. Why jump a whole ocean for someone who can't even jump a puddle for you? Well, I say jump the whole ocean for them or for anything your heart desire, feel for them, care for them, do everything possible for them but never ever let getting anything in return take over your head be as selfless as possible and when I say selfless don't expect anything in return. The main thing about manifesting something is letting it go. Don't force it to stay if it was supposed to happen it will happen by any means. We don't own the right to force anything except ourselves and while it does sound unfair it is how everything works in today's world. It is ok to take a break and cherish yourself. You cared for something that badly see what much of a difference it would have been if you cared for yourself that much. What would have happened if you shifted that care and attention to yourself? It's not late. It's never late because this time the person to whom we have to say sorry is ourselves. You can forgive that small you, right? You can forgive that kid who needed a hug right? You can forgive that one and only person who is always going to be there for you right? You can forgive yourself, right? Because no matter how much back support you get at last it's always going to be you and yourself who are going to end up hugging each other when you cry yourself to sleep. We can do it. It's not late. It's ok. Let's keep fighting. We fought for soo many things now it's high time we fight for ourselves right? So let's feel for ourselves and give it a go. Let's feel for us. Let's embrace ourselves.

The above photo is of me in the midst of my identity disorder. I've already released a book about the experience and my various mental health battles - called Paper Doll, it is available on Amazon, Waterstones online and Barnes and Noble Nook. I was obsessed with being beautiful - it consumed my entire existence. By seventeen I was convinced I needed surgery, for my under eyes. Filler, rather. And as I got older I wanted a breast enlargement, and liposuction. I did my research and made it as far as the first appointment. However the surgeon wasn't keen, as I was so young.
Caitlin StrommenPublished 9 months ago in MotivationGod Will Use Hard Times to Help You Grow
In hard times, it's easy to give up on our destiny and dreams. But I want to remind you that hard times are a part of God's divine plan for your life. Sometimes, easy and fun doesn't always mean fruitful. Sometimes the seasons of greatest growth and advancement for us are the ones that are hard. For example, you may have gone through or are going through a storm yourself. The problem is that most people don't know how to profit from their problems or how to harvest their hurts. Mature believers though they do those things, advance through adversity. If you don't do that, you'll become bitter and God won't be able to use you the way he wants to. So you gotta trust him in difficult situations. Even when it looks like everything is breaking down around you, if you trust in the Lord, you can experience incredible breakthroughs and see God work in mighty miraculous ways. Believe in your faith that God is working behind the scenes when you feel and see nothing. The struggle that Joseph faced when he was falsely accused and imprisoned for 13 years was actually setting him up for something greater. In Psalm 105:18, it mentions that Joseph was bound in chains of iron, but his soul entered into that iron. This verse holds immense power as it signifies that something transformative was happening within him during his time of hardship. His perseverance, prayer life, faith, and strength all grew during that challenging season. Sometimes, we can only experience certain spiritual growth through difficult circumstances, even though they are not enjoyable and we don't usually celebrate them. However, it's crucial to hold onto the hope that God is working in the midst of the hardship.
