Ever forget to stop and take a moment to take care of yourself?

Today's world is so fast paced that most of us don't even have a moment to pause and breathe.

Self-care isn't a one time deal. There are some small things you can do that can turn into daily habits and add into your regular schedule.

Self Care for The Mind

1. Start a document with the compliments that people give you to read later.

2. Scratch off something on your to-do list or off your bucket list.

3. Change how you make choices. Write a pros and cons list, listen to your head/heart, flip a coin, etc.

4. Go cloud-watching or star gazing.

5. Go find a new place to explore that you've never been to.

6. Give your full attention to something you usually don't.

7. Be silly for a little while. Even if it's just for a few minutes every few hours.

8. Try to create a new habit.

9. Fix a small problem at home like the plumbing issues, the colors of the walls, the AC, etc.

10. Do one thing today just to make yourself happy without how other people feel.

11. Do a small meditation session today and just relax.

12. Declutter your closet. Maybe donate or hold a yard sale.

13. Unplug for an hour. Just go do something without your phone.

14. Get out of your comfort zone for a little while.

15. Take out the negative people of your life.

Self Care for The Body

1. Pay attention to your body for ten minutes and see what is bugging you.

2. Take some deep breaths. This helps calm down nervous system and helps you get into check.

3. Just randomly start dancing. Have your own little dance party.

4. Stretch out your body. Stretch out those muscles and joints.

5. Go for a light jog. Don't push yourself too hard though.

6. Eat a few healthier choices. Try a salad today, maybe.

7. Self-soothe.

8. Get to truly know who you are.

9. Change up your diet slightly. Try something new and add it to your daily diet.

10. Treat your body to either a small snack that you usually don't have or a new outfit.

11. Just have a moment of silence. Use this to appreciate the little things people do for you.

12. Go to bed a half hour early. The extra sleep will help you feel wonderful in the morning.

13. Inhale a warming scent. Try vanilla or even apple cinnamon, especially during the holiday season.

14. Laugh. Go on YouTube and find some funny videos.

15. Take a nap. You deserve this.

Self Care for The Soul

1. Get advice from yourself.

2. Find some new beautiful things about yourself.

3. Help someone you don't know. Help an old lady at the supermarket or help a homeless man.

4. Express your feelings through music or art.

5. Write out how you're feeling at the beginning, middle, and end of the day then compare how you felt that day before bed.

6. Choose someone new to hang out with. They could turn out to be your brand new BFF.

7. Adopt an animal from your local shelter. Or if you can't adopt, try just volunteering.

8. Get constructive feedback from friends about yourself.

9. Meet someone new. They could be someone fun.

10. Buy yourself something that you've wanted for a while.

11. Have some you-time. Take some time just for you today.

12. Exercise some of your strengths.

13. Have a home-spa day. Take a bubble bath, give yourself a face mask, etc.

14. Ask for help today or see if someone needs your help.

15. Plan an unplugged weekend for just you.
